So I had to frog the socks but they’re back on the needles. I learned an important lesson though, always swatch using the needles you are going to use for your project!
Turns out that size 1 straight and double pointed needles are 2.25 mm. Size 1 circular needles are 2.5 mm. WHY?
So I switched to my size 0 needles and the gauge is the same (8 sts per inch) so I don’t have to change my design. I think this will all work out for the best since I think the 0’s will give me a tighter fabric.
I washed Pam’s kureyon socks and they are much softer after a wash. The Kureyon sock can be stiff and rough during knitting, but after a wash they’re much nicer.
