Fate of the Frankensocks

No not Al Franken…Franken as in Frankenstein!

I knit these socks up using two different skeins of Noro Kureyon Sock.  They are based on Cat Bordhi’s Houdini socks.  Trouble is when I was knitting the foot, I was a bit tense,  so my gauge was way too tight!

I can get them on my feet, but it’s like trying to put on that old pair of pantyhose after you’ve gained a few pounds.  I can do it, but it ain’t pretty.

The worst part is where the leg joins the foot.  It cuts across the front of my ankle.  So these may end up in the back of the sock drawer.

Or…

The way these socks are constructed I could remove the leg, re-knit the foot then reattach it to the leg.  Then they truly would be Frankenstein socks!

Bwaahahaha!
